Our Service technicians are specially trained according to federal standards to provide the highest quality of service. We are looking for the right individual for this entry level position to train you for a highly rewarding and challenging career.

Service Technician Job Responsibilities: Technicians (Tech I – II) are responsible for day-to-day operations including cleanings, sanitizations, and deliveries. The technicians are at the direction of the foreman to help on large installs, large maintenance jobs, and emergencies. Installs and tests products to make sure they work correctly.

  • Follows installation and operation manuals.
  • Responds to service requests and repairs products.
  • Uses diagnostic tools to determine repair plans.
  • Writes service reports after every appointment.
  • Collaborates with managers and other service technicians.
  • Follows all company policies and procedures.
  • Adheres to safety regulations and industry standards.

Work Hours and Benefits:
Daily travel is required but we offer a flexible full-time schedule that you will make yourself. This opening is an hourly position that pays overtime and double time. Our technicians are provided with everything they need including a vehicle and phone. Service Technician Qualifications and Skills:

  • Learns new maintenance skills quickly.
  • Works with customers and has excellent customer service skills.
  • Collaborates with managers and service technicians has strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates time management, problem-solving, and organization skills.
  • We will pay extra for an Associates of Science or experience in dialysis or CSS water systems, general plumbing experience or electrical experience!

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Clean NYS drivers’ license is a must.
  • Drug testing and DOT physicals are required.

Open Systems Northeast (OSNE) is currently seeking a qualified Installation/Service Technician. We are looking for team-oriented individuals possessing experience with and/or vocational training in electronics, electromechanical and low voltage systems such as CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion, and Fire Alarms. In this role, you will be responsible for providing service and installation for OSNE CCTV & Security products at customer sites.

Expectations of This Position Include:

  • Develop a working knowledge of OSNE’s operating standards, practices and procedures
  • Assist in simple and complex installations of all electronic security system products
  • Work in a team environment and maintain effective communication with OSNE Team members
  • Interact in a professional manner with customers to foster positive customer relations
  • Ability to use various hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Ability to stand for long periods occasionally lifting heavy loads
  • Ability to climb ladders and work from ladders of various heights

Skills that are Required:

  • 1-3 Years Experience: Vocational or specialized training in electronics or electrical engineering
  • 1-3 Years Experience: Knowledge and understanding of CCTV, IP Video, Access Control, Intrusion and Fire Alarms
  • Strong PC and TCP/IP diagnostic skills
  • Understanding MS Windows functionality and basic PC hardware troubleshooting fundamentals
